1. What is Change to du?

‘Change to du’ or Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is a permanent service that allows active mobile customers to move from one operator to another in the same country without changing their number.

2. How do I change to du?

The process to change your network to du while keeping your 050/056/058 number is quick and easy. All you need to do is:

Choose from one of our monthly mobile power plans.
Fill in your personal details along with required documents.
Submit your request.

We’ll take care of the rest.

3. What are the documents required?

You’ll need to upload:

Copy of your Emirates ID (front and back)
Latest salary certificate with a minimum salary of AED 2,500 /month

4. How much will I need to pay?

There is no additional cost involved in changing to du. All you need to pay is the standard activation fee for your Pay As You Go (prepaid) plan. If you decide to select a postpaid plan, you don’t need to pay the activation fee at all.

5. What plans can I choose when changing to du?

You can choose from any of our monthly plans regardless of the plan you have been using with your current operator.

6. How long will it take to move my number to du?

If you submit your request online, you’ll receive a confirmation SMS on your current SIM within one working day. Then, we’ll deliver the SIM to your location, as per your convenience. Please make sure you have your original Emirates ID with you to complete the activation process at the point of delivery.

Don’t worry, no disconnection will happen to your mobile service during the changing process.

7. How can I check the status of my request?

You’ll be regularly updated by SMS on the status of your move. You can also check the status by calling 800 CHANGE (800 242643).

8. Will my current service be interrupted?

We’ll ensure your services are not interrupted during the moving process. During the changing process your current SIM will continue to work. Once you receive an SMS on your current line confirming that your number has been moved to du, simply insert the new du SIM into your phone and start enjoying our services.

9. How will I know when my plan is active?

You’ll get a confirmation SMS once it’s active.

Monthly Payments:

The promotional monthly payment of AED 199 will be for 12 months only. After that, it will be AED 299.

Data allowance:

You will get unlimited data for 12 months only, as a promotion. After the completion of the 12 months, the monthly data allowance will become 200 GB.
